MY AIR FORCE

In my 21 years in the Air Force, I flew 9 different aircraft and my

favorite, is pictured below, the B 58 Hustler .

The Mach 2.0, B-58, Hustler was the aircraft in which

I felt to most pride in piloting.

A kindly Boom Operator took the following photos during

one of my missions.

approaching the KC 135, tanker prior to refueling,

The B 58 was one of the easier aircraft to fly for refueling because

the boom was visible to the B 58 Pilot, unlike the B 52 and the

FB 111 where the boom receptacle was behind the pilots head.

After refueling, dropping down and proceeding with the rest of the mission.

In my humble opinion the B 58 was one of the most beautiful aircraft ever made.
